For nearly a decade the University of Melbourne has been using a.k.a.® software to develop, deploy and publish their information governance tools.
The Enterprise Classification Scheme records and standardizes common language terms and is used for the description of business functions and activities performed by the university in order to provide a controlled vocabulary for records titling.
The Enterprise Classification Scheme is available as a fully searchable online database, as a set of folders that can be installed on a shared drive or as a set of folders that can be installed in Outlook. The ECS has been deployed into the Universities HP TRIM system.
The University Records Retention and Disposal Authority (RDA) was also developed in a.k.a.®, then published online and deployed into the Universities HP TRIM system.
